As the name suggests, the outer leather of the millefoglieⅡ CORDOVAN27 is made from cordovan, a rare and highly prized leather sourced from the hindquarters of select horses. This leather is tanned using only the inner layer, giving it a fine grain, distinctive luster, exceptional durability, and rarity.
The cordovan used in the 2022 reissue features a thinner coating than previous versions, giving it a more natural, unfinished appearance and making the aging process more visible. When new, the surface may feel slightly rough to the touch and could experience minor color transfer, so please handle with care.
The thin layer of wax applied to the surface will gradually blend in with use, revealing a natural gloss over time. However, due to its delicate finish, even slight friction—such as from the protective wrapping—may appear as small marks when new. This is a characteristic of the leather and will even out as the excess wax wears away, revealing its true beauty.
The interior features a luxurious combination of vegetable-tanned cowhide leather. For the backing, which requires both thinness and strength, a khaki cotton lining is used.
You may notice some wrinkling at the base of the coin pocket when the wallet is brand new—this is part of the design and will settle naturally with use.
Although the thickness of the leather interior slightly reduces storage capacity relative to the size, the 27mm version offers a bit of extra room. It can accommodate around 10 bills, 15 coins (mixed sizes), and up to 20 cards.
A left-handed version is also planned (release date to be announced).

To avoid from deterioration or natural molding please place the wallet in a dry area allowing flow of air if you do not use it for a long time. The wallets are using natural material at its best but there may be occasional color loss, lineage and surface irregularity. As the exterior is made to provide the real leather feel the surface can result with slight scratches or pressed marks. In any case, the leather should smoothen gradually with daily usage.
